The 12 Days of Library Christmas

Christmas time is upon us; a time for loved ones, fairisle jumpers and listening to a lot of Christmas compilations. But for us here at the Library, it’s a time for appropriating festive songs. Let us present the 12 days of Library Christmas…

For those that aren’t familiar with the 12 Days Christmas, all you need to know is that a very spoiled certain someone, receives a number of gifts from their lover, the amount of which correspond to the 12 days leading up to Christmas. Gifts include ten Lords a-Leaping, a headache inducing amount of drummers and a lot of poultry. We hope our days of Library Christmas are a little more useful to you…

On the First Day of Christmas, the Library gave to you…  A Robin and a Book Tree!

Robin Green is our Head Librarian at the Library. This is the closest we could get to a partridge in a pear tree. I think we did pretty well.

On the Second Day of Christmas, the Library gave to you…2 suns a-setting!

There’s nothing more magical than a Floor 5 sunset to brighten up your evening of study! Thanks to #warwicklibrarysunsetclub for the stunning photos!

On the 3rd day of Christmas my Library gave to me… 3 A Christmas Carols!

Best read by an open fire with hot chocolate. They’re hiding away in the schools section if you fancy a read.

On the 4th day of Christmas my Library gave to me… 4 Santa Self-checkouts!

Is it a coincidence that floor 5 is a festive red? I highly doubt it.

On the 6th day of Christmas my Library gave to me… 6 shelves a-sitting!

This gem is from the MRC’s archive collections: the gift that just keeps on giving. Let’s pretend that the guy in the middle is playing some form of elaborate trumpet…
